  • What is NSSLHA?
    • The National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders. NSSLHA is the only official national student association recognized by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) .
  • Who can join?
    • Membership in national NSSLHA is available to undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral students enrolled full- or part-time in a communication sciences program or related major.
  • Are there local chapters?
    • National NSSLHA has 301 independently operated chapters located on college campuses and universities in the United States, Canada and Greece.
  • What are the benefits of membership?
    • Involvement in NSSLHA leads to a fuller appreciation of the professions of audiology and speech-language pathology and a greater awareness to the issues affecting these fields. For benefits of membership, click here.
  • Other than the many benefits of membership, why else should I join?
    • To qualify for the NSSLHA-ASHA conversion program discount. In order to qualify, a student must be a member of national NSSLHA and must have two consecutive years of membership in national NSSLHA at the time of graduation from a master's program.
  • How do I join?
    • OSU NSSLHA - pick up a form from Hanner.
